Journaling your Personal History
In keeping with the library's summer theme of historic milestones–the 250th anniversary of our nation's birth and the 150th anniversary of Colorado's birth, we will explore the milestones and pivotal moments in our own personal histories. This 2-hour workshop will be a beginning step in organizing a lifetime of memories and breaking it down into manageable parts.
Journals are used for personal reflection and generally are private. They can be a good place to start organizing your thoughts if you are thinking about writing an autobiography or legacy to share with family and friends. Please register through the library either in person or on their website.

Beauty in Imperfection
Perfection is a myth not based in reality. It does not exist in the natural world nor in the human being. The pursuit of perfection can leave one feeling stressed, anxious, and depressed as it feeds into feelings of unworthiness.
We will explore ways of seeing imperfection through different eyes as we examine and ponder different cultural perspectives on this subject.
Journaling Workshop: Awakening to Beauty (Session 1)
Our souls long for beauty! Beauty evokes a sense of wonder and awe, a sense of belonging, and makes us feel alive. Beauty is all around and within us, hidden in the ordinary moments of our days. Yet how often do we fail to recognize and appreciate these many gifts and blessings?
Negativity often dominates our thoughts, speech, and actions, creating unhealthiness in the soul and spirit. This negativity makes it difficult, if not impossible, to recognize and appreciate the beauty in our world. Times of stress and uncertainty actually create an ideal time to awaken a sense of beauty.
